The One Where I Didn’t Know What To Do

Have you ever begged God for a clear sign? A voice, a vision, a Quantum Leap-style jump to fix everything?
Yeah—same.
In this episode, I open up about the pressure of decision-making when God seems silent. Whether it was in medical uncertainty, ministry choices, or big life transitions—I’ve wrestled with the fear of “choosing wrong.”
In our Kingdom Culture segment, we talk about our obsession with control. Superheroes, multiverses, and destiny narratives have us believing there’s only one right path. But what if God’s will isn’t about fear-based perfection… but about faithful movement?
Drawing from the powerful memoir The Distance Between Us by Reyna Grande, we explore how God often guides us through uncertainty—not around it.
Then in God Questions, we face it head-on:
“Does God care which option I choose?”
We unpack what Scripture says about moral clarity, divine direction, and why faith sometimes looks like taking a step—not waiting for a flashing arrow.
Finally, in Training in Righteousness, I give you five simple steps for walking in wisdom this week.
🕯️ Key Scriptures:
Proverbs 3:5–6
Psalm 37:23
Romans 12:2

The One Where We Got WiseGuest: George Williams
In this powerful conversation, I sit down with Bro. George Williams — a mentor, minister, and man of deep wisdom — to talk about what it really means to walk in godly wisdom, especially as Black men in ministry and life. From spiritual formation to legacy-building, this one is packed with gems.
📝 Note from the host:This was my first remote podcast recording. While the audio quality isn’t what I normally aim for (it's rough, honestly), Bro. Williams’ wisdom is too valuable not to share. He’s in the final stretch of his Doctor of Ministry, and I didn’t want to ask him to re-record. Thank you for your grace — it’s worth sticking with.
🎧 Segments include:
LED Spotlight: How Bro. Williams shines his light in ministry
God Questions: What does wisdom really look like?
Training in Righteousness: Learning to lead and listen

🎙️ Episode 6 — The One Where We Choose Love
In this episode of The LED Podcast, my wife joins me for a real and raw conversation about love, discipleship, and covenant. We tackle the idea of whether God sends godly spouses to people who aren't living for Him and why spiritual alignment matters more than many realize.
Then, we reflect on our recent date night and review the movie Sinners from a Christian perspective. Is it simply entertainment, or does it show us hard truths about temptation and sin? We discuss how film and faith intersect and how brokenness often mirrors biblical truth.
💡 God Questions Segment:What’s the big deal about sex before marriage? We talk about why sex was designed to thrive in the covenant of marriage, how culture distorts it, and the consequences when intimacy is taken outside God’s design.
✋🏾 Training in Righteousness:The Discipline of ConfessionThis week, I introduce a freeing spiritual practice: dividing your life into seven-year periods, writing down hidden sins, finding a trusted confession partner, and fully embracing God’s forgiveness. You don’t have to carry guilt forever — confession leads to freedom.

In this urgent bonus episode of The LED Podcast, I respond to the recent tragic shootings in my hometown of Temple, TX, where young people lost their lives in less than a week. I reflect on what’s broken in our village—and why Jesus is still the only way to restoration. This isn’t just a reaction—it’s a Spirit-led call to revival, accountability, and hope.

The One Where I Went on A Mission Trip

Friday Mar 21, 2025
In this episode of The LED Podcast, I take you on my recent mission trip—one I was hesitant to go on, but one that turned out to be a God thing. From meeting Keith, a self-proclaimed pastor of all, to clearing thorn-infested vines and preaching a sermon I wasn’t sure would fit (Are We There Yet?), this trip challenged me in unexpected ways.
Then, we dig into a bigger discussion: Why do different church communities approach missions so differently? In my experience, predominantly Black churches focus on helping those inside their congregations, while wealthier, predominantly white churches often focus on overseas missions. Is there a disconnect? And what happens when, in the next 50 years, Christianity becomes a minority religion in America—could the mission field one day be us?
💡 Kingdom Culture Segment: The racial and economic divide in missions—why do some churches focus inward while others go global?
❓ God Questions Segment: Do all Christians need to be missionaries? What does it really mean to live on mission?
✋🏾 Training in Righteousness: This week, we’re looking at the spiritual discipline of Examen—because sometimes we need to examine our hearts and actions. (See what I did there?)

Then, we dive into Amazon Prime’s new show House of David—is it just entertainment, or is its lack of biblical accuracy dangerous to our faith? We break down whether biblical stories can be reimagined for film or if this kind of content leads to misunderstanding Scripture.
💡 God Questions Segment: Do Christians have to fast? We explore what fasting really means, whether it's a requirement, and how it can transform your spiritual life.
✋🏾 Training in Righteousness: This week, we focus on the discipline of fasting—why it’s not just about giving up food, but about drawing closer to God.
